Biography
Andrew is the Group Chief Executive of Irwin Mitchell, having been appointed in April 2014. He joined Irwin Mitchell in 1985 and became a Partner in 1988.
As Group Chief Executive, Andrew sits on the main Board of the holding company, Irwin Mitchell Holdings Ltd, and the Executive Board of Irwin Mitchell LLP. Irwin Mitchell’s turnover has grown in each of Andrew’s years at the helm and the brand was recognised as a Superbrand for the first time in 2019.
Andrew brings strong strategic vision to the Chief Executive role and a commitment to doing everything in the best interests of our clients, colleagues and the communities we work with.
Prior to his appointment as Group Chief Executive, Andrew was the Chief Executive of the firm’s Personal Legal Services division, with responsibility for the delivery of a range of legal services.
Andrew also headed up Irwin Mitchell’s industry-leading personal injury department and has worked on many high profile and groundbreaking cases, including the Kegworth air crash, CJD and the coal miners’ vibration white finger and chest illness cases.
Outside Irwin Mitchell, Andrew spent nine years as a Law Society Council Member for Yorkshire. Andrew is also an avid sports fan, but unfortunately no longer as an active participant. He is passionate about the great outdoors and conservation.
