Biography
I’m an Apprentice Paralegal in Irwin Mitchell’s family law team in Bristol. After joining Irwin Mitchell in September 2019, it’s safe to say that I’m enjoying every minute of my role and am learning new things everyday.
I regularly assist senior team members with different cases, including child arrangements and financial settlements, helping them prepare and collate documents for court hearings.
What inspired you to get into law?
I completed an A-level in Criminology and really enjoyed learning about the facts of a variety of cases within different sectors, so thought I would continue this by entering family law.
Whilst doing my A-levels, I started looking into options of what to do next. I didn’t want to go to university, so thought an apprenticeship would be a perfect alternative to continue my studies, but also get the experience of working in a law firm.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I love that each case has different facts and complexities, and I enjoy contributing towards getting the best possible outcome for the client. I think that helping others in a time of distress is very rewarding.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I love that Irwin Mitchell are focussed on reaching the best outcome for our clients.
We also do lots of work for different charities, which I think is brilliant as it shows that we always try to do more and help others.
What do you do away from the office?
I enjoy travelling to different countries and gaining a sense of different cultures around the world, including trying different foods. I also enjoy camping with my family and getting out and about by walking our two dogs.
