Biography
I have a wealth of experience having practised Family Law in London for more than 25 years. I specialise in advising clients including high net worth clients on a range of financial remedy applications and children’s matters.
I have also acted for a number of clients with international, cross jurisdictional and religious elements including Talaq and the Get. I acted for Galina Besharova in the largest divorce settlement in the UK in 2011 and following this I was the Times Lawyer of the Week.
I regularly contribute to various Family Law publications.
I am a Member of Resolution and subscribe to their Code of Conduct. I seek to find a fair solution by negotiating firmly and am not adverse to court proceedings should that be necessary.
What inspired you to get into law?
My grandfather was a Judge in Germany, however he was unable to continue his career when he had to leave the country. I have a number of cousins who followed a career in the law, so I guess it’s in the genes!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
It is very satisfying helping a client through what is one of the most difficult periods in their life and seeing them come through the process, usually stronger and more committed to their own future.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?

What do you do away from the office?
A lot of walking, pilates, yoga, cooking, ballroom dancing and reading.
