Biography
I'm a Manchester-based solicitor specialising in medical negligence.
I represent clients who have suffered an injury or loss as a result of medical negligence. I have experience of pursuing claims against both individual medical practitioners including GPs, dentists, private doctors and the National Health Service.
I deal with a wide variety of cases including: delay in diagnosis of cancer, orthopaedic injuries, negligent surgery, soft tissue injuries and fatal injuries.
What inspired you to get into law?
From an early age I always enjoyed helping people to resolve their problems and found the law to be interesting and challenging. After being in and out of hospital with my son during the early years of his life, I found I also had an interest in medicine so medical negligence seemed a great way to combine the two.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
I'm very passionate about my job and have found that whilst it is always rewarding to obtain a successful outcome for my clients, the most important aspect of my role is supporting my clients through what can be a very difficult time and assisting them to understand what has happened to them and why.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I'm proud to be part of a team that recognises our clients are at the very heart of what we do. We're all specialists in our respective fields which means we can provide an all-encompassing high level of support to our clients through the most difficult of times.
What do you do away from the office?
When I'm not running around after my son I can usually be found in the gym, out socialising with friends or with my head in a good book.
