I've specialised in the field of occupational personal injury for over 25 years. I act for clients with asbestos related diseases from all over the North West and North Wales. I've represented clients from overseas (Australia, New Zealand and Canada) who contracted asbestos diseases before emigrating to other countries. I have extensive experience in using the specialist court procedures which ensure that cases for mesothelioma and lung cancer victims are dealt with quickly.
One of my cases is used as the guidance to courts for victims of mesothelioma who want to have a quick decision on who is to blame for their disease and, if possible, an early payment of some compensation but wish to delay the final settlement of their claim to make sure they get the right provision for their spouses and dependent children. I have secured awards for victims of mesothelioma in excess of £500,000. I am often complimented by my clients for my sympathetic manner and commitment to winning their case.
I'm committed to ensuring that my clients receive full and proper compensation and that research into treatment for asbestos related cancers is properly funded, a cause for which I both campaign and raise money. I cycled 1,200 miles from Glasgow to Southampton to raise money for mesothelioma research.
What inspired you to get into law?
I wanted to become a lawyer so that I could make a difference.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding part of my job is working on behalf of an amazing group of clients. Mesothelioma victims and their family never fail to impress me with the strength they show when dealing with the consequences of this devastating disease.

"Katrina and her colleague Ed Joy came to our home to evaluate and proceed with Mick's claim. It was obvious that Katrina was very experienced in this area and within a short time gained Mick a lump sum and the benefits to which he was entitled. Both Katrina and Ed had a positive and caring attitude and gave us invaluable practical advice. " - 5* Trustpilot review

"From the start of my (now sadly deceased) fathers mesothelioma case, I have been looked after by Katrina London from Irwin Mitchell in Manchester. The best advice I can give to Irwin Mitchell.....do not let Katrina go anywhere else under any circumstances. Our family have been through a difficult time losing our father but Katrina has been flawless in every way. Her patience, attention to detail, kindness, clarity and advice has been fantastic. Her legal skills are fantastic in this area and she took care of everything whilst keeping me updated throughout. My dad, before his passing chose wisely. I want to say thankyou to Katrina for helping our family in this case, we couldn't have hoped for better." - 5* Trustpilot review
"Katrina London and her team have been remarkable throughout this journey: not solely on the legal side, but for the emotional support to keep me upright. Her compassion, patience and support are above and beyond. Her patience remarkable. I’m eternally grateful for her compassion towards my grandfather during his life, and to myself during some of my darkest times. Legally, she is exceptional. She is efficient and hardworking in the background and minimises the distress of the legal process. She understands the level of loss, and advocates for that to be acknowledged in settlement. She obtained justice and a sense of closure for a life taken too soon. My Grandfather would be very grateful for all she has done." – 5* Trustpilot review
