Biography
I'm a paralegal within the Medical Negligence Team, located in our Sheffield Office. My team looks to compensate people for the errors made by Medical Professionals when being treated both under the NHS, and privately.
What inspired you to get into law?
I have wanted to work in Law for as long as I can remember. I studied Law at the University of Sheffield after graduating, I joined Irwin Mitchell where I started working in my first paralegal role. I like the thought of my work helping people when things that are out of their control have gone wrong.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is being able to help those most in need when something that is out of their control has gone wrong, especially when this leaves them in a much worse situation than they originally found themselves in.
Although compensation is the best outcome for most, I enjoy aiding my clients in receiving answers to help them understand why errors have occurred. Clients receiving apologies is also a really rewarding aspect as, it enables them to have closure.

Irwin Mitchell are such an amazing firm to work for as I feel that they always go the extra mile for each and every one of our clients. Along with the rewards of helping others, it's also nice for your work to be recognised which Irwin Mitchell go above and beyond with. I feel that my work is valued by the firm every day.
What do you do away from the office?
When I am not at work, I enjoy a very active and busy social life. I frequently attend the gym which I find helps to clear my mind from stress and separates me from work, while keeping me healthy. On the weekends I love nothing more than catching up with close friends over food and drinks. My most favourite pastime however is going abroad with my partner and family somewhere hot to relax and read a good book.
