Biography
I am a solicitor in the family law team at Irwin Mitchell. I am based in the London office but work on cases across the country. I work on a range of matters relating to:
- Divorce
- Financial arrangements upon divorce
- Children arrangements
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Arrangements for unmarried couples.
Please contact me if you have an issue you think relates to family law and I would be happy to help or signpost you onwards.
What inspired you to get into law?
I first considered becoming a lawyer when I was a teenager and it was primarily because I thought it was a well-respected profession. As I grew up, I realised this was not a reason to pick a job and therefore sought out work experience with solicitors and barristers so I could see if I had a real interest in the role.
It is safe to say following five years at university and two years of training to become a solicitor, I found that I did!
The lawyers I met then, and those I work with now, made me see the personable yet technically challenging nature of the role. They showed me how it's a privilege to guide a person through usually a very difficult time in their life and alleviate some of their stress and concern. Their passion for the job inspired me and I am glad to say that it remains true to this day.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Seeing a person realise that they have more rights and protections under the law than perhaps they had ever considered, helping those in difficult situations extract themselves and start a new life, and in any case, despite the outcome, knowing I have done everything I can to assist and advise a person.
What do you like about working at Irwin Mitchell?
I have now been in three roles at Irwin Mitchell, a legal assistant, a trainee solicitor and a solicitor. Throughout all those roles I have been surrounded by kind, intelligent and supportive individuals who I know I can rely on for guidance both personally and professionally. I feel I am being nurtured at this firm to become the best solicitor I can be.
What do you do away from the office?
I am a cinephile, I love all things film and TV and I am always that person who says ’have you seen...’ - hopefully some people like my recommendations!
I love travelling and I was lucky enough to go around the world before I began my training as a solicitor - my favourite country remains New Zealand.

I would not only highly recommend them, but have since had queries for them unrelated to my divorce and have received prompt feedback and help with the utmost professionalism! Thank you so much for all you did for me!” – Mina, Client (Taler was a trainee solicitor while helping this client and is now a qualified solicitor)
